What We’re Offering

Role: HIU Heating Engineer

Location: London – all jobs are nearby and easy to reach by public transport.

Workload: About four domestic property jobs a day.

Pay: Self-employed, with day rates from £264 to £336. You can earn more in winter, around £66k–£84k a year.

What You’ll Need

Experience: At least five years working with underfloor heating, radiators, combi boilers, or HIUs.

Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 or above.

Location: Based in London and able to travel by public transport.

A Day in the Life

Each day, you’ll visit around four homes. At each property, your main focus is to check, repair or maintain the heating and hot water systems. The work is steady and consistent, and you follow the tasks set out for you for each visit.

You’ll use your skills and experience to assess the system, carry out the required work and make sure everything is running as it should. Some jobs may involve quick checks, while others may need a little more time, but all fall within the same type of heating and hot water tasks you’re trained for.

You’ll have full support and training behind you, so you’ll always know what is expected. This helps you work efficiently throughout the day and complete each job to a high standard.
